What Is BunnyBakery?

BunnyBakery is a cozy cooking game developed by G.J. Studio, released on Steam on June 18, 2026. It supports 1-2 players in couch co-op, where you and a friend (or solo with an AI helper) run an adorable bakery staffed by bunnies. You'll bake cakes, cookies, and pastries, decorate them with colorful frosting and toppings, serve customers, and expand your bakery into the most charming shop in town.

The game combines cooking simulation with shop management and creative decoration. Every aspect is designed for relaxation — there are no timers, no fail states, and no pressure. Customers wait patiently. Recipes can be attempted as many times as needed. The joy comes from the process, not the efficiency.

What sets BunnyBakery apart is its warmth. The hand-drawn art style, gentle music, and cute character animations create an atmosphere that genuinely feels comforting. It's the kind of game you play to unwind after a stressful day.

How to Play BunnyBakery

Baking: Each recipe has three stages — mixing, baking, and decorating. Mixing requires following on-screen prompts to combine ingredients in the right order. Baking is about timing (watch for the golden-brown indicator). Decorating is pure creativity — frost, sprinkle, and garnish to your heart's content.

Serving customers: Customers arrive at the counter with orders. Fulfill orders accurately and quickly to earn coins and reputation. There's no time pressure, but happy customers leave bigger tips and return more often.

Expanding your bakery: Coins earned from sales can be spent on new recipes, better equipment, furniture, and cosmetic upgrades. Unlock new rooms, outdoor seating, and special event decorations.

Co-op mode: Player 1 handles the kitchen and baking. Player 2 manages the front of house — taking orders, serving, and keeping the shop tidy. Communication and coordination make the bakery run smoothly, but each player can also do both roles if needed.

Tips and Tricks

Master the basics first. Start with simple recipes like sugar cookies and vanilla cake before attempting complex pastries. Each recipe type has unique mechanics — learn them one at a time.

Decoration sells. A beautifully decorated cake is worth significantly more than a plain one. Take the extra 30 seconds to add frosting details and toppings. Customers notice and tip accordingly.

Keep ingredients stocked. Run out of flour mid-order and you'll have to disappoint a customer. Check your ingredient levels after each order and restock before the next rush.

In co-op, communicate. The biggest bottleneck in co-op is two players bumping into each other in the kitchen. Assign roles — one bakes, one decorates and serves — and stick to them.

Upgrade your oven first. Better ovens bake faster and more evenly. This single upgrade improves your throughput more than any other purchase.

Watch for special requests. Some customers have unique preferences — extra frosting, no nuts, specific colors. Fulfilling these requests earns bonus reputation and unlocks exclusive recipes.

FAQ

How many recipes are there? The base game includes 24 recipes across 6 categories: cakes, cookies, pastries, pies, breads, and seasonal specials. More are added through free updates.

Can I play solo? Yes. An AI assistant handles the role of the second player, though they're less efficient than a human partner. Solo play is perfectly enjoyable.

Is there a story mode? There's a light narrative about reviving the town's bakery culture, told through customer interactions and unlockable diary entries. No heavy plot — just charming vignettes.

Are there microtransactions? No. All content is unlockable through gameplay. There's one paid DLC planned that adds a holiday-themed expansion pack.

Can I customize my bunny? Yes — fur color, outfits, hats, and accessories are all unlockable. Your bunny's appearance doesn't affect gameplay, so go wild with the fashion.
